351 Marine Boulevard completes construction in Jersey City, New Jersey

Construction has been completed on 351 Marin Boulevard, a 38-story rental tower in the Powerhouse Arts District of Jersey City. Designed by Holwich Kushner and HLW Architects and developed by the Kushner Real Estate Group (KRE) and Northwestern Mutual, the 406-foot reinforced concrete structure produces 507 studio apartments and one- and two-bedroom layouts. Marketing Managers are the exclusive rental agent for the property, which is located on a rectangular plot of land bound from Marine Boulevard to the east, First Street to the north, Bay Street to the south, and low rise buildings to the west.

Jersey City Mayor Stephen Fulop, managers of the Kushner Real Estate Group, Northwestern Mutual, city officials, and other dignitaries attended Thursday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The latest exterior element wrapped up in our November update was the assembly of a corner structure along the intersection of Marine Boulevard and Bay Street that houses a series of small water fountains. Wood benches and large concrete blocks surround the raised garden beds, and an ADA-accessible ramp meanders over the 4,500-square-foot outdoor space toward the main doors of 351 Marin Boulevard. The building title is now displayed in bold in large letters lit at night above the dark canopy.

Another emblem of the building was added to the inward-sloping wall along the base of the tower, where the letter M and the number 351 were installed over a diamond-shaped gray tile facing Marine Boulevard. The slight extrusion from the surface creates a gentle shadow effect. It all sits under an inverted beveled triangle face with a white banner announcing rentals are still available.

From afar, 351 Marin Boulevard blends into the downtown Jersey City skyline, recognizable by its trapezoidal crown matching the geometric language of its lower floors.

Amenities include a rest deck on the eighth floor with a 24-hour fitness center, entertainment kitchen complete with seating area, movie and viewing room, game room, children’s playroom, landscaped terrace with pool, lounge, pit fireplace, and barbecues. There is also a community garden and dog track on the 7th floor, and the Sky Lounge on the 37th floor comes with a landscaped outdoor patio with a stepped stage. Also on this level are indoor common work areas and banquette seating. The ground floor houses Wattle CafĂ©, an Australian inspired wellness brand.

The homes are finished with wide hardwood floors, interior washer and dryer, sun shades, steel appliances, and white quartz countertops.
