In parallel with her practice, Bailey is studying at Yale University as the Charles Gwathmy Professor of Practice, a loyal participant in the broader cultural community. She is currently an associate of the American Academy in Rome, and has been inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the National Academy of Design, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the American Philosophical Society. In 2021, Baiden was appointed by President Biden to the American Committee of the Fine Arts, as she was the first Asian American and woman to serve as president.
