DW Windsor announces significant performance improvements for its flagship functional luminaire, the Kirium Pro
With the latest LED technology from DW Windsor, the Kirium Pro has been re-engineered to deliver increased performance at over 51,900 lumens, and market-leading efficiency, up to 192lm/W, resulting in lower whole-life costs and savings of around £50 per point of light on over ten years.
Kirium Pro is DW Windsor’s most comprehensive range of LED streetlights. Available in five distinct sizes with 23 standard diamond+ light distributions for maximum flexibility and precise control, the Kirium Pro delivers customized performance and precise lighting levels across various applications, from footpaths and bike lanes to residential roads and traffic intersections. In addition, the unified aesthetic design ensures a consistent appearance across the lighting schemes.
With increased connectivity options, the Kirium Pro also benefits from a choice of NEMA and Zhaga sockets in the upper and lower locations, providing greater flexibility and helping to resist the future of ENEC-certified luminaires. Furthermore, tool-free access via a quick-release latch provides simplified installation, while the hinged cover and automatic electrical disconnection provide added safety during maintenance.
Alan Grant, Director of Design and Development at DW Windsor commented, “The Kirium Pro is our most forward-thinking and future-proof lightbulb to date. Recent upgrades highlight our commitment to helping local authorities reach their net-zero goals while providing savings that will benefit the public coffers.”
Initially launched in 2016, Kirium Pro has been installed extensively across the UK and abroad, with luminaires illuminating sections of the M1 motorway and Square Mile in the City of London.
