For Factory Outlet Flooring Center, the store has offered diverse inventory, specializing in unique and personalized customer experiences, as well as providing business opportunities to the community for 42 years.

“Our company’s goal is to continue to serve our community and surrounding communities with their flooring needs and to give our customers fair pricing, quality and timely installation,” said Principal Fara Hollyfield. “We want to continue to provide products now at affordable prices.”

“We have high-quality products and low-quality products,” she said. “We try to get the best of all worlds. We have a first class arrangement with all of our distributors, which means we can offer better prices than most distributors.”

No competitor offers better prices, Holyfield said.

“Some may offer the same prices, but no one beats our company’s prices,” she said. “We have more inventory than any other flooring center from Houston to Baton Rouge. There is enough business in our area and surrounding areas for multiple floor centers, and we work well with many of them and help them when they are in trouble. We are not trying to take others out of the business; There are many in our area that have been around for a very long time. We respect them, they respect us.”

The workplace culture of the company is a family and friendly environment.

“The original owner, Hope Alexander, left the business to his employees,” Holyfield said. “Two of these employees own it now; however, the others still work here. Our bookkeeper has been here for 24 years, our storekeeper has been here for 23 and our sales team has been here for 10 or more years. Most of our installers have been here between 15 or 20 too. We’re family. We don’t just go out at 5:30 p.m. and come home. We’re friends, family, and a team. Most of our clients tell us it’s good to do business with a personal touch.”

The warehouse consists of 35,000 square feet, contains inventory, a large showroom with various samples and space for hanging jobs.

“Our showroom is kept up-to-date and trendy with coveted styles and exciting new choices,” she said. “We offer our customers free measurement estimates and easy checking of our samples and design assistance. We have over 300 rolls of carpet, over 100 rolls of vinyl plank (linoleum), 16 different options of luxury vinyl plank in stock, and at least 30 options Various of tiles in stock for floors or walls, mosaics in stock, backsplash tiles in stock, laminate in stock and even some hardwoods in stock.

“We stock all compound adhesives, grout for tile, and waterproofing materials for bathrooms or wood floors.”

Hollyfield said business strategy “was and always will be respectful and kind,” the basics of communication.

“Anyone can open a business,” she said, “but without the basics like humility, humility, kindness, respect, loyalty, honesty, and fairness, you wouldn’t have a successful business.” “I believe in treating others as you would want to be treated; regardless of whether it is a customer, employee, installer, contractor, or other representatives.
