amazing Italian A village on the Amalfi Coast is one of the most famous and photographed villages in the area and it’s easy to see why. Terracotta-colored homes perch cliffside to the bustling seashore, making for the perfect Instagram backdrop, as do narrow, winding streets lined with boutiques and al fresco dining.

But the best view of the charming and upscale village is without a doubt Eden Rock Suites Hotel. It is located only ten minutes from the beach and in the middle of a busy shopping street the hotel It has a prime location. It’s an easy-to-navigate route into the hustle and bustle of the city, and the panoramic view of the sea and Positano doesn’t tire as you approach.

View from the outside of the hotel

The four-star hotel is, crucially, a little higher than the other hotels in Positano, giving guests the best views whether it’s from the rooms, the pool, the rooftop bar, or the Mediterranean restaurant serving a great breakfast.

Eden Roc Suites Hotel exudes luxury and focus on modern and elegant décor. We stayed in the Superior Sea View Room, which was flooded with natural light and had a small balcony overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Waking up and pulling the curtains onto the countless boats and the sparkling blue water never gets old.

Everything is as convenient as pressing a button, quite literally, from the touchpad switches to turn on your bedroom lights and rain showers in the bathroom, to the USB ports at your bedside. Standard service you’d expect from a four-star hotel, such as a minibar, smart TV, tea and coffee maker, plush robes and slippers, and amenities were provided in the spacious, beautifully tiled bathroom. Elegance and comfort is how you describe the rooms at the Eden Roc Suites Hotel.

The stylish and modern rooms at Eden Roc Suites

The hotel’s public areas are at the top of the property, where you’ll find some of the best views of Positano. There is a small plunge pool on the rooftop with a few deck chairs which would be enough to snorkel and cool off during the hot Amalfi Coast summer, but not big enough for tours – if exercising during your holiday is on your list!

The Sky Bar is definitely one of the selling points of the hotel. While it may be pared back to the decor, it lets the scene do all the talking, putting Positano in the frame. Serving great cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and you’ll find yourself queuing behind the other guests to pose on the balcony for this amazing Instagram shot as the sky turns from blue to pink to orange.

The rooms offer a terrace and a view of the sea

The must-visit Adam and Eve Restaurant is located just above the Sky Bar and also offers viewing spots and panoramic views. Lots of restaurants in Positano serve fairly average food that caters to tourists, and we found the best dinner of the trip was in the hotel restaurant where we could enjoy a lit Positano view at night.

With an emphasis on traditional Mediterranean fare and fresh seafood given the village’s proximity to the sea, the menu features dishes such as fried squid, grilled sea bass, citrus-scented lobster salad and the must-order red prawn Mazara. Additionally, organic ingredients are plucked from the garden where possible. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making for a great evening.

The view of Positano from the hotel is unobtrusive

Breakfast is also served in the same restaurant, which means that guests will be treated to the same great view the next day. Travelers on rated it “awesome” so we had high hopes for the breakfast and it didn’t really disappoint.

The buffet caters to every kind of appetite and dietary requirement, from pastries and continental bread to Italian ham and cheese. There was also a selection of hot, cooked food including eggs, bacon and sausage, or the option to order an omelette. Health-conscious people will be delighted with the colorful fruit selection on offer, along with yoghurts and cereals, as well as fresh juices. Tony, the lively host, also takes great pride in making sure every table is never short of fresh coffee.

Rooms book quickly at the Eden Roc Suites and it’s easy to see why. With a rating of 9.4, there isn’t much wrong with the hotel. If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity, you will find that it will be difficult to wean yourself off.
