For the past six months, demolitions have been taking place at South Town Court, which is set to be redeveloped into a mixed-use residence and community space. As of Monday, May 2, most of the area has been flattened. Once the demolition is fully completed, 560 residential units and building space for grocery, retail and hotel will be available. The first step in the redevelopment is the construction of 60 affordable housing units.

After serving the community for more than 29 years, the owners of Lamb’s Ears in Mountain Brook have announced their retirement. The store will now start sales through its closing date of June 8, selling everything from inventory to fixtures. Stop at 70 Church Street and say goodbye to the shop that offers cute home décor and fun gifts.
