Samuelson Furniture collaborates with the Independent Living Community of New Jersey

Samuelson Furniture donated Allure, the Sound chair by Samuelson to the Miriam Apartments at the Daughters of Miriam Center

Samuelson Furniture has announced that it has donated to Allure, a Samuelson’s voice Chair of the Miriam Apartments at the Daughters of Miriam Center, a not-for-profit local independent living facility providing care to senior residents of Northern New Jersey. The Paterson-based manufacturer of the upscale, Bluetooth-equipped lounge chair has contributed to the long-running organization to promote health and empower community members. The fully upholstered Allure chair was installed in a public space in the Esther and Sam Schwartz Building, located on the campus of The Daughters of Miriam Center/Gallen Institute on Hazel Street in Clifton, New Jersey.

“Our team loves to explore new ways to give back to our local community,” says Michael Chalvin, executive vice president of Samuelson Furniture. “We are honored to offer our support to the residents of The Miriam Apartments – and we hope Allure will benefit their everyday lives by giving everyone the opportunity to have a unique and immersive audio experience within their common space whether relaxing with music, watching movies or listening to audio books.”

Samuelson Furniture’s thoughtful seating design is the result of years of extensive ergonomic research, with each piece meticulously tested and engineered to meet the needs of seniors. Allure provides optimal back support with height and depth that is ergonomically designed for easy entry and exit.

The patented Bluetooth system is integrated into the brand’s seats through high-quality technology, turning the chair itself into a speaker for a private audio experience. The built-in technology eliminates the need for gassy earphones or the uncomfortable volume of those around them. In addition, the engaging and personalized acoustic experience makes it an effective vehicle for sound therapy and memory-care applications, such as playing soothing music or other soothing sounds for community members.

“Music is indeed a universal language, so all seniors can benefit from this gift,” says Daughters of Executive Vice President Fred Weinstein, quoting American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Samuelson Furniture debuted in the assisted living industry in April 2021; The brand is dedicated to making positive impacts through the built environment through beautiful and highly functional products that improve the daily lives of residents.
