FORT MYERS – Seagate Development Group will lay the foundation stone for its last 11 designated homes at Esplanade Lake Club this month. With the owners and interior design firm Seagate – Theory Design – the leading full-service developer will join a lush tropical environment with coastal modernity to take advantage of the outdoor lifestyle that Lake Como brings, along with design fit for an active family of four.
“Homeowners define coastal life, according to their lifestyle and the floor plan they want to share with others. A mindset like this will make this residence exceptional,” said James Knolph, Jr., chief operating officer and partner of the Seagate Development Group.
Outside, a colorful landscaping will surround a white facade with gray tiled cladding, black framed windows, three black garage doors and matte black double iron entry doors under a charcoal tiled roof. This, combined with white and charcoal floors, will result in a highly customized home based on the Seagate Calabria floor plan—more than 4,000 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms plus an additional room and study, plus five full and half-baths. The grand foyer – outlined with hardwood floors that will make its way into the main living spaces – will be flanked by a powder bath and VIP guest suites on one side and a laundry room with a 24-inch refrigerator, followed by an alcove and mudroom with a drop-off station for storage and charging stations, on the other. .
The foyer will flow into the large room with ceiling beams for detailing, a stylish media wall with custom built-in shelves, plus sectional benches and other comfy seating, which will be just plain sliding glass pocket doors. The adjoining gourmet kitchen with a maple-style island and gray coastal walnut surround will be custom designed for homeowners to cook together and host family and friends. Equipped with dishwashers, stove, wall oven, and microwave drawer, accompanied by a refrigerator, freezer and wine cooler, the kitchen will match the dining area with modern pendant lighting and a glass enclosed refrigerated wine display that will become the staple in the home for entertaining.
The black-framed glass-doors fitness room – to emphasize the open concept and bring in natural light – will be outside the garage and mudroom. Doors of the same style will give access to the entry room and powder room. This multipurpose space will be complemented by a sofa bed, desk, media wall and bookcase door – perfect for homeowners and guests alike. The rewards room will be an extension of one of the VIP guest suites and includes a sofa bed, game table, media wall for lodging and old fashioned family fun. This, along with the master suite, will lead to the outdoor living area. The latter will debut for the first time two large cabinets and an intricate roof design as a focal point and complement the exterior views. The adjoining master bathroom will feature double vanities with maple-board cabinets and sophisticated marble countertops. An enclosed bathtub and shower with spacious accommodations for seating and storage, plus windows on the exterior will create a luxurious oasis and holiday-style experience.
The pinnacle of the custom home will be the outdoor living area—starting with a stone-clad media wall over a reversible fireplace, surrounded by patio seating. This will move into an outdoor kitchen and dining area. This space will conclude with a dedicated pool and elevated spa that will serve as a preview of the water sports that homeowners and guests can participate in on Lake Como. There will also be a pool with shower for them to relax before they retreat inside after a day of their favorite pastime.
“We appreciate homeowners’ new definition of luxury lakeside living, and are excited about the process of building a home on that very foundation,” said Nolf.
