The average home in Vanderburgh sells for a higher price annually

The median sale price for a single family home in Vanderburg County during February was $168,750. That’s a 13.3% increase compared to February 2021, according to a local USA TODAY network analysis created using data from Realtor.com.

On an annual basis, prices have been rising for six consecutive months. February prices rose from $166,131 in the previous month.

The number of homes sold was down 26.3% from the previous year. A total of 143 homes were sold countywide during the month of February. During the same period the previous year, 194 single-family homes were sold.

The median Warwick County sales price for a single-family home was $258,125, up 19.7% from the previous year. On an annual basis, prices began to rise. The average selling price for February is an all-time record in a database covering 86 consecutive months. About 67 homes were sold in February, down 2.9% from the previous year.
