The Crossvine announces new garden homes for sale

Today, The Crossvine, a master-planned mixed-use community located in Schertz, Texas, announced the availability of new garden homes in the community, which will add 77 homes to the 550-acre development. The pre-sale of garden homes is already underway.

The 77 townhouses will provide smaller, hassle-free yards, connectivity to indoor greenbelt courts, and access to driveways, gardens, pools and other outdoor spaces popular with existing residents. The design of the homes contributes to the community’s ongoing mission to provide residents with the space and amenities to spend time together and build relationships with neighbours.

Bradley Bishtool, director of Schertz 1518, Ltd. The Crossvine Developers: “We are excited to begin this next phase of The Crossvine and bring more aspects of new urbanism into development.” “The prospective garden homes will be a welcome new addition to The Crossvine, especially for younger families and retired veterans looking to purchase easy-to-maintain yard homes within our unique planned community.”

The Garden Homes will range in size from 1,375 to 2,400 square feet and will start at $400. The architecture of the Garden Homes will add variety to the neighborhood while maintaining the classic Texas heritage style that symbolizes the homes within The Crossvine community.

The Garden Homes will be built by David Weekley Homes and Scott Felder Homes. David Weekley’s six floor plans include styles of 2-4 bedrooms and 2-2.5 bathrooms. Scott Fielder homes will also come in six floor plans with 2-4 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms. All homes will include two-car garages accessible from a back alley and front arcades facing central greenbelts.

In 2021, The Crossvine added more amenities to the neighborhood, including a community garden, two bocce ball courts, picnic tables under 100-year-old oak trees, continuing paths and lending libraries and mail kiosks as walkways. These complement the existing pool, pavilion, amphitheater, and multiple parks the community already has. Crossvine recently worked with the Cherts City Parks Department to build a basketball/pickleball field in Heritage Oaks Park.
